Just what does a theatre director do in the rehearsal room? And how do they do it? Paul Clayton has a playful look at techniques directors use and how they get he actors to do what they want. A fun filled ninety minute session for all who have ever thought about directing, or for anyone who just wants to understand the rehearsal process a little more.
Paul Clayton has directed in regional repertory theatres, national tours, and staged over 3570 large live events for clients around the world.
As an actor he is best known for his appearances in five series of the BAFTA winning Channel 4 sitcom “Peep Show”, and for two series of the BBC3 Bafta winner “Him and Her”. Most recently seen in “The Spilt” and “Holby City”, he has appeared in numerous TV and theatre shows. Last year saw him in “The Crown” and he earned an Offie Nomination for his performance in “Brimstone and Treacle” at the Hope Theatre in London.
He will be joined at the masterclass with actors Jonny Green (Torchwood, Doctors) and Kazia Pelka (Brookside, Heartbeat, Coronation Street, Doctors)
