A Promenade in the Cemetery

Tickets for this event are currently sold out, but we’ve added a second performance on Tuesday 11 August.

Join us for a guided walk and a variety of live performances around West Norwood’s historic and atmospheric cemetery. It’s one of the Magnificent Seven London cemeteries built between 1832 and 1841, known for their elaborate tombs and memorials.

We’ll tell the stories of some of the most notable people buried there as we promenade in small groups, plus you’ll get to watch some dramatic readings and vignettes and listen to some songs and poetry along the way.

We’re taking every step to ensure your safety and social distancing. Small audience groups will assemble and set off on the tour 10 minutes apart. Guides will lead you along the route.  This is an outdoor performance, so please dress for the weather and please remember although the route is only a mile, you will be standing for the duration so wear your comfy shoes.

The performance starts at 7pm so please arrive no more than 10 minutes before your ticket time to be sorted into your group and avoid overcrowding at the cemetery entrance. The whole event will last about 90 minutes.
